Will it improve the performances for Google Maps service ? my “customers” are complaining (too slow).

  2. app nerd says:

Well am disappointed with the hefty $499 per year price just to remove your banner thats so damn expensive and honestly with me i thought we were going to get the same service for less with the excitement ya’ll created! If you were also offering development for other platforms yes i would understand. You need to add more features on your design platform for this $500 am paying.

We need more features to justify this 500 bucks cos it seems its only for removing your banner

      Hi app nerd,

The professional package also let’s you change the package name of your app and gives you priority build queuing. Most people, myself included, don’t need to change the package name or remove the branding from the about dialog, it’s not that important to us or our users. Some people, generally those developing the apps for a business interest, might need to make those changes, which is why we added them and why they are priced at that level.

Remember you don’t need to pay $499.00 a year, there are two other options.

Here’s some more information on the professional level: http://support.andromo.com/kb/andromo/andromo-professional-subscription

Ok Mark…i dont want the branding period but the 500 bucks is steep cos its only for Android Apps anyways let me weigh my options because honestly am disappointed at the price though! You now most certainly need to add more features on your platform, e.g booking modules etc!

Rest assured i’ll upgrade but you need to address my issue because as much as you are cheaper than everybody as you claim they offer better options and more platforms. You guys dont even have simulators for us to check our apps live to avoid making too many mistakes as i have experienced that with all apps i have made with you.

So after paying i can upgrade my apps? and resubmit them without the Ads right?

        • mark says:

Yes, once you upgrade you will need to re-build your app and then re-submit the resulting apk file to Google Play.

While Andromo does not have a simulator and it does only supports the Android operating system, the apps created with Andromo are better than those created by any other online app maker. No other tool offers the range of activities that we do, no do they offer their options in 100% native code. The problem with cross platform solutions is that the result often under-performs on all platforms.

Al that aside, when you say booking modules, what exactly do you mean? I’m not exactly sure what type of an activity that would be.

          • app nerd says:

LET ME UPGRADE AND SHOUT AT YOU MARK! am a very particular guy cos am tired of crushing my SDK hence why am using your service. Am a C++ and C# certified programmer

    • lorne says:

When you refer to our banner, do you mean the Andromo logo on the About screen? Or are you referring to the default ad that for the past few months would show 50% of the time (or all of the time if you didn’t have admob set up)?

Because…none of the subscription levels show our default ad any more. As of the latest version, if the admob request fails to return an ad, the ad is just hidden — our old ad (that did look a lot like a banner) is never shown. This is true right across the board ($25/month, $99/year, etc.).

The $499 Professional subscription is only necessary if you want to remove the logo on the About screen or change the package name.

  3. app nerd says:

I meant the logo on the about app. I want to own the package not it show the current format i.e. com.andromo.devblah blah but your price is more than an app maker when i buy a full license.

I want to continue this conversation outside this post to make my point more clear so as i dont jeopardize Andromo’s hard work with 3rd party details because i have been making a lot of research today to see if indeed you are worthwhile

  4. Doug says:

Can I upgade to the $99 from $25 package? Also, do you have a showcase of apps created by non-programmers using Android?

    • mark says:

Yes you can upgrade from a monthly subscription to a yearly subscription at any time. More information can be found here. You can few some of the apps that have been created with Andromo in our showcase.

  5. Jason says:

Hi Mark, Thank you for making Andromo.

I’m a “one app” maker, that is I only ever made one app to play my YouTube channel and probably won’t make any more.

I like the features of your $499 package, in particular the no “Powered by Andromo” advertisement feature. But it is way out of my budget. Seems to be aimed at Professional Programmers that have a good cash flow.

If you could please consider creating a payment system for people like me, say $10 per app/year or $25 per app for life, I would happily pay you because you have such a great service and your app works really well.
