Coming Soon…AirBop

AirBop

We’ve been hard at work over the last few months on something completely new. And now it’s time for a peak behind the curtain. We’ve kept pretty quiet about it, but over the last few weeks (if you follow us on twitter @AndromoRocks or pay close attention to some of the support discussions) we’ve been letting a few details of our new service slip. We’re not quite done, and we’re not quite ready to open up the site to the public, but we’re ready to unveil some of the details of our new service:

AirBop

AirBop is our new push notification service built specifically for Android developers and Android apps. There are no compromises made within AirBop. We built the type of service that we, as Android developers, would want to use. No fluff, no complicated third party libraries, just bare metal access. We’re making your life easier and your apps better.

I could go on and on about AirBop (did I mention it makes use of Google’s fantastic Google Cloud Messaging service?) but I’ll save that for another post and let the site: http://www.airbop.com speak for itself. This is forwards and not reverse.

So is this going to be included in Andromo, or only available as a separate service?

Hi Trevor, AirBop is going to be a separate service, however you will be able to integrate it into your Andromo apps.

Hi Sam. AirBop was just opened to new public registrations last night. We will be announcing the Andromo integration in the next week or so. So, for now you can head on over to http://www.airbop.com to signup for a free account that gives you 1000 devices and unlimited push messages for free. Then you’ll be ready when Andromo enables the feature.
